The destiny of Maison Perrier-Jouët has always been shaped by audacious choices, starting with the founders’ decision to make the Chardonnay grape the signature of the House, pioneering the intricate, floral style for which its famous champagne is recognised throughout the world.
No other Prestige Cuvée can match the consistency of style that Belle Epoque stamps upon every vintage.
Tom Stevenso, Wine Expert

The founders of Maison Perrier-Jouët decided on the Côte des Blancs, in the heart of Champagne's “Golden Triangle”, as an ideal terroir to nurture Chardonnay and cultivate relationships with growers of the finest crus. Today, this is one of the most admired Champagne vineyards, ranked at 99.2% on the Echelle des Crus quality scale, with exceptional parcels in Cramant and Avize.

True to the philosophy of its founders, who were known for their progressive views on natural viticulture, Maison Perrier-Jouët is committed to the environmentally responsible management of its Champagne vineyards.
Maison Perrier-Jouët's vineyards hold the Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certificate for sustainable cultivation of the region's three main grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. In 2016, the Perrier-Jouët champagne vineyards were awarded France’s top environmental certification, HVE, for their biodiversity and ecological standards.

OUR SAVOIR-FAIRE
The Art of blending
In over 200 years, Perrier-Jouët has had just 8 Cellar Masters, each one trained by their predecessor, like craftsmen, creating an exceptional advantage in preserving the style.
In October 2020, Séverine Frerson became the eighth cellar master – and the first woman to hold the position – in the history of the House. She joined the House in 2018 to start a 2-year transmission process, with her predecessor Hervé Deschamps to master the subtleties of each cuvee.

Hidden in its cellars in Epernay is Perrier-Jouët’s own very special garden of paradise, home to the most precious mature vintage champagnes dating back to 1825. Only the Chef de Caves is custodian of the key to this wine oenoteque named L’Eden, and its treasures are kept back to be savoured by future generations at the most celebrated of occasions.
